Flora’s Spirit
An Exhibition of Photographs by Jane Stevens
November 3 – 28, 2026
Opening reception: Thursday, November 5, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Ceres Gallery is pleased to present Flora’s Spirit, an exhibition of photographs by Jane Stevens.
This new series of photographs was inspired by Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers, renewal and rebirth. Marking a shift in the artist’s work, this body of work transitions Stevens from her tradition of black and white film landscape photography into color digital imagery.
While Stevens’ earlier landscapes explored a deeply personal spiritual connection with nature – frequently using the environment as a metaphor for personal struggle and passing storms– Flora’s Spirit celebrates transformation. The new work captures the dynamic shapes, rich textures, and colorful evolutions of nature, conveying a renewed sense of joy, inspiration, and artistic growth.
