STATEMENT

WHERE IS HOME?

My work is tied to social and political narratives as a direct result of being born into a family that fled persecution in Europe. Relationships and the challenges of being female are major themes throughout my work.

My ceramic forms and collages pay homage to refugees, to those who flee intolerable situations, each a complex story needing to be told, overlapping and rippling in our history together.

As environmental issues compounded by political and cultural complexity confront us, the crucial question for all is “Where Is Home?”
